First came the ice - then the snow. It's still coming down out there. We are supposed to have 12 inches by the time it's through. (Wonder how many perverted Google searches will pull up this entry?)
I've been taking pictures of the table on our deck through the window throughout the day to document how much snow is accumulating. I'll post the final picture.
The kids are thrilled with the snow. It's the first accumulation of the winter and it has extended Christmas vacation from school four days and counting (they have already announced the cancellation for tomorrow).
I did make it to work on Tuesday, but since I can work from home and it takes close to an hour on slippery roads to get to the office, it only makes sense to stay home.
I was actually working today and needed the Novell client in order to access a couple of servers through my VPN connection. It downloaded, installed, and congratulated me on a successful install with the caveat that I needed to reboot to complete the installation. Yeah...kiss my desktop goodbye is what the message should have said. It wouldn't reboot unless in safe mode. The afternoon was taken up with doing data backups while in safe mode and doing a reimage of my laptop. Novell bastards.
